Marriage is defined by whichever organization you choose to get married in and not by the state which you live in. No where in the constitution are there special privileges granted to the state allowing for a group of people to dictate who you can or cannot spend your life with. The very act of forcing someone else to do what you deem moral is an act of aggression and in violation of the rights of those in question. As a Christian who finds god through the bible and not through a church, I feel that people are on this world to procreate. We are here to be good to one another and support one another, while also multiplying. Most Christians and Jews will recall the multiple verses in the Old Testament: Be fruitful, and multiply."

The more minds in the world the more chances we have of overcoming the challenges that come with population growth and the progression of humanity. Men and women and everyone in between can achieve great things when they set their minds on it. Who says you need to be with someone of the opposite sex in your personal life in order to accomplish great things in the world? Marriage between two people of the same sex is not advancing those goals of procreation and the expansion of the species, aside from artificial options; but then again they are loving families which can give adopted children a home. The opinions of others should have no bearing on how someone else lives their life, and if you want to get married to someone it should not matter what anyone thinks, because this is America. Further more if it makes them happy then why would you want to try and stop that?
